AI Website Builder with Real Arabic RTL Support

Real Arabic RTL support means the builder sets the page direction, uses logical spacing, mirrors directional icons, keeps numbers and Latin words readable inside Arabic text, and picks a font designed for Arabic. Flipping text alignment is not enough. Uttra builds this way by default; any other tool can be checked with a short test.

Why "supports Arabic" is not the same as RTL

Almost every AI builder can display Arabic letters. The browser handles the shaping of the script itself. What separates a usable Arabic site from a broken one is everything around the letters: which side the menu sits on, which way the progress bar fills, where the close button goes, and how a phone number behaves in the middle of a sentence.

An English-first builder often produces a page where the text is right-aligned but the layout is still left to right. It looks almost right in a screenshot and wrong the moment someone uses it. Here is the difference live:

قبل: الصفحة بدون dir
اكتب اسمكإرسال ←
بعد: dir="rtl" وخصائص منطقية
اكتب اسمكإرسال ←
عرض حيّ يرسمه متصفحك الآن، وليس لقطة شاشة.

The seven things real RTL support covers

  1. Document direction. dir="rtl" and lang="ar" on the root element, so the browser, screen readers and search engines all know the page is Arabic.
  2. Logical spacing. Margins, padding and positions written as start and end (margin-inline-start, ms-4) rather than left and right, so one stylesheet works in both directions.
  3. Mirrored direction icons. Back and next arrows, chevrons in menus and breadcrumbs flip; logos, play buttons, checkmarks and clocks do not.
  4. Bidirectional text. Prices, phone numbers, order IDs and English brand names stay in the right order inside Arabic sentences.
  5. Arabic typography. A typeface designed for Arabic, such as IBM Plex Sans Arabic, Tajawal or Cairo, with more generous line height than Latin text needs.
  6. Forms. Labels, placeholders, validation messages and input direction that match the language, with phone and email fields kept left to right.
  7. Content in Arabic. Real Arabic copy, not machine-translated English, with local details such as prices in riyals and Saudi cities.

Numbers deserve a closer look because they break most often. Watch how brackets and digits flip when the text has no direction hints:

قبل: نص مختلط بلا عزل

بعد: dir=rtl مع <bdi> للمقاطع اللاتينية

A 10-minute test you can run on any builder

Before committing to a tool, give it the same Arabic brief and check the result on a phone. This prompt deliberately mixes Arabic, numbers and English names:

Test promptTry it in Uttra

Then go through this checklist:

  1. Look at the header

The logo should be on the right and the links should read from right to left. If the logo is on the left, direction was never set.

  2. Follow the arrow

The arrow on "book now" should point left, toward where Arabic reading continues. A right-pointing arrow means icons were not mirrored.

  3. Read the prices and phone

Prices like 150 ر.س and the number 0551234567 should read normally with no digits swapped or symbols jumping to the wrong end.

  4. Check the form

Labels on the right, the phone field typed left to right, and error messages in Arabic.

  5. Resize to 390 px

On a phone width, the mobile menu should open from the correct side and nothing should overflow horizontally.

How Uttra builds Arabic first

Uttra was designed for Arabic speakers, so its own interface, the content it writes and the layouts it produces are right-to-left from the start. You can describe your project in Modern Standard Arabic, in a Gulf dialect or in English, and ask for an Arabic site either way.

Typography is part of that. Here is the difference between a default system font and an Arabic typeface:

قبل: خط النظام الافتراضي وتباعد ضيق

خطّ عربي واضح يرفع الثقة ويسهّل القراءة على الجوال.

بعد: خط مصمم للعربية وتباعد 1.8

خطّ عربي واضح يرفع الثقة ويسهّل القراءة على الجوال.

عرض حيّ يرسمه متصفحك الآن، وليس لقطة شاشة.

After building, Uttra opens the pages in a real browser and checks for errors, blank pages and overlapping elements, and fixes what it finds before reporting back. You then refine visually: click any element in the preview, change its text, colour, size, alignment or font from a ready set, or select it and type an instruction such as "make this section two columns".

The same Arabic-first approach applies to marketing material. Uttra Design creates posts, stories, ads and banners in your brand colours with Arabic in the correct direction.

What RTL support does not do for you

Even a builder that gets direction right cannot decide your content. Read the Arabic copy yourself, especially legal text, prices and anything about delivery or refunds. Check that English product names are spelled the way your customers know them, and review the site on a real phone before you share it. If you need a starting point for the common mistakes, the Arabic guide on RTL design mistakes is a good checklist.

When to choose Uttra

If most of your visitors read Arabic, start with a builder that treats RTL as the default so your time goes into the business, not the layout. If your product is mainly English with an occasional Arabic page, an English-first tool plus a careful RTL pass can be enough; our Lovable RTL fix guide shows how.

Frequently asked questions

No. Right alignment only moves the text. The layout, the order of columns, the side the menu opens from, icon direction and spacing all stay left to right. You need dir="rtl" on the root element and logical spacing so the whole page flips correctly.
